South Carolina
Trivia
South Carolina is a southeastern U.S. state known for its shoreline of subtropical beaches and marshlike sea islands. Strawberry fields and rural landscapes define the lowcountry region along the coast. Inland, subtropical forests, resort towns and centuries-old plantations contrast with busy modern cities and military bases. In the Blue Ridge Mountains, table-flat peaks are known as the Upcountry. The state capital and largest city is Columbia.
